“It just comes down to love.”
Nearly three months after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, their celebrity guests are still reeling over the lavish, fairy-tale experience.
Like one of Swift’s chart-topping songs, guests can’t get the magical night out of their heads, and Saturday Night Live alum Heidi Gardner is the latest to open up about the star-studded wedding. During a recent interview on iHeartRadio, the actress confirmed that Swift and Kelce’s love for each other was evident.
“It was such a beautiful wedding of two people [who] were so excited to marry each other,” Gardner said. “And like, you could feel that. So palpable.”
Gardner added that, beyond the multi-million-dollar decor and entertainment, Swift and Kelce’s love shone through every moment of the extravagant evening. “And that was just like, for something that was, you know, hyped in a way on such a grand scale, it’s like, oh, it just comes down to love and two people being like, ‘I am so excited that we’re getting married,’ and that was really sweet.”
During a September 28 interview on the podcast “Arrowhead Allies,” Fox analyst Dean Blandino also gave some insight into guests’ conversations at the reception.
“It was a wedding with a lot of different people,” Blandino said. “There were some surreal moments, you know, just kind of rubbing elbows with some of the celebrities that were there. But what was so cool about it is you had a lot of A-list celebrities there [who] just wanted to talk football.” Kelce is currently playing his 14th NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Gardner’s quotes follow the release of Swift’s new album The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, which includes the song “Cleveland!,” dedicated to Kelce and his hometown.
