If Jason Kelce isn’t careful, he might end up in sister-in-law Taylor Swift’s bad books.

The 38-year-old retired NFL star and the older brother of Swift’s husband, Travis Kelce, recently woke Travis and Swift up with an early morning call.

The brothers laughed off the exchange on the Wednesday, Oct. 21 episode of their New Heights podcast, where they discussed Jason participating in a challenge called “Squatober.”

“I knew Jason was doing Squatober,” Travis said. “He actually asked me how much weight I have in my basement. I didn’t even add it up. I just told him how many weights I had. And he was like, ‘Oh, okay, cool, I’ll bring some.’ So he flew to Kansas City with — what was it, 50 lbs.?”

Jason confirmed that he flew to Kansas City, Mo., with two 25 lb. weights to help his squat game.

“A couple extra plates to throw on the old squat bar,” Travis said. “Absolutely hilarious, the most meathead thing I think I’ve ever seen Jason do.”

But Squatober also led to an early morning call that caught Travis and his pop star wife off guard.

“I get a call at 7:30 in the morning. In my mind, I’m thinking worst-case scenario,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end explained. “I’m like, ‘Oh, s—. Is everything okay? Maybe after the run Jason’s in the hospital, he blew his knee out or something.’ I dunno, I was worst-case scenario, the brain was just waking up. I was like, ‘Uhh, you okay?’ ”

Not only was Jason fine, he was calling with a workout-related request.

“Jason’s like, ‘Yeah, can you come spot me?’ I was just like, ‘No way!’ ” Travis recalled, cracking up.

“I got my ankle wrap. And he’s like, ‘Nah, nah, it’s bench, it’s bench. It’s not squat.’ And I’m like, cool, ‘cause I wouldn’t be able to save you if it was a f—ing back squat. I’m like, ‘Cool, I’ll come down.’ ”

And while Travis was immediately game to help out and hit the gym, Swift was less convinced by Jason’s proposal.

“I’m walking out of the room, and Taylor’s like, ‘This is f—ed up.’ And I’m just like, ‘Nah, it’ll be good. It’ll be good!’ ” Travis added as he and Jason cracked up.

Though they weren’t pictured together, Jason shared that he and Swift were both at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on Travis and the Chiefs as they defeated the Los Angeles Chargers.

Sharing that he attended a New Heights tailgate ahead of the game, Jason added, “We were all there in Arrowhead this weekend. It was a blast.”
