Aaron Rodgers Reunites With His Family After Years of Estrangement: See 8 Heartwarming Photos That Have Fans Talking
Aaron Rodgers was raised by his parents, Ed and Darla Rodgers, alongside two brothers, Luke and Jordan, in Chico, Calif.
Just like their father, all three Rodgers sons developed a passion for football and played in various levels. Aaron went on to be drafted by the Green Bay Packers and even helped lead the team to a Super Bowl win in 2011 — where he had the support of his whole family to see him take home the title.
However, in 2016, the Rodgers family confirmed they had become estranged from Aaron. At the time, Jordan had appeared on his now-wife JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette and claimed they hadn’t spoken to him in years after Aaron allegedly distanced himself from them. Meanwhile, Aaron later denied that account and said he wasn’t invited.
After more than a decade of being on rocky terms, Aaron and his parents publicly reunited in April 2026 to celebrate his induction into his high school’s hall of fame. The NFL star later revealed that he had also reconciled with his brothers, Jordan and Luke. Most recently, Ed, Darla and Luke and his children showed their support for Aaron by cheering him on at an October Steelers game.
“There’s been a few things that have happened the last couple of years, which has made the idea of reconciling with my parents first an opportunity,” Aaron explained on a September episode of the Not Just Football podcast, while later adding, “A couple weeks after that, went out to Nashville, met up with my older brother [Luke], and a couple weeks after that, met up with my little brother [Jordan].”

In December 2012, Luke wished Aaron a happy birthday by posting a throwback picture of the two of them as children.
“Happy birthday little bro. We’re still looking good…” he captioned the snap.
Much of Aaron, Luke and Jordan’s childhood revolved around sports — with Jordan describing days filled with baseball, basketball and football.
“It was so competitive,” Jordan said in a 2012 interview with Vanderbilt University. “We put mom through it all because we were fighting over everything. Growing up in that kind of environment, it was and still is always a competition between us.”
Luke reflected on their childhood and shared a photo of him and Aaron wearing matching outfits as children in a 2016 Instagram post.
Aaron marked a major career milestone when he and the Green Bay Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25 in Super Bowl XLV in February 2011.

In May 2012, Aaron and Luke ventured to Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., to take in the Kentucky Derby. The occasion marked one of the last public outings with Aaron and his family for over a decade.
After more than a decade of not spending time together publicly, Aaron revealed in July 2026 that he had reconnected with his parents and older brother Luke.
Aaron announced the news by posting pictures with his family members — including mom Darla. The picture showed Darla hugging Aaron while he also held onto her and smiled.
“Another bonding week. #fam,” he captioned the snaps.

In addition to smiling for pictures with his mother, Aaron also posted a picture with his dad, Ed, as part of the July 2026 Instagram post.
After confirming that he had reconciled with his parents, he explained that he chose to fix his relationship with them first. He said on the Not Just Football podcast that he visited them in their Chico home before they moved.
“The last day they were in Chico, was the day I met them there at their house, the house I bought them and built for them,” he said. “And so, full circle.”
Shortly after he reconnected with his parents, Aaron flew out to Nashville to visit his brother, Luke, and his wife, Aimee Rodgers, and their three children.
“It was cool. There were tough conversations for sure, but I’m just in a much better headspace,” Aaron said on the Not Just Football podcast.
Aaron posted pictures laughing with Luke, helping build a unicorn toy and spending time with the kids as their uncle.
“A year ago, even two years ago, five years ago for sure, I would have said, ‘Nah, I’m never going to reconcile,’ ” Aaron said during the Not Just Football podcast.

Luke posted several photos and videos of his three children and parents spending time with Aaron on the field and later cheering him on from a suite. One of the snaps showed Aaron holding his niece on the couch and hugging his nieces and nephews on the field.
“Last weekend was pretty special. 💛🖤,” Luke captioned the post.
