Taylor Swift and her cat, Olivia Benson, made a surprise appearance at the 2026 Emmys, joining host Mariska Hargitay in a pre-recorded sketch spoofing an episode of Law & Order: SVU in which they used clues based on the nominated shows to theorize whether Swift would show up at the ceremony.
During the 2026 Emmy Awards, a pre-taped sketch featuring the Law & Order cast got some extra juice with a surprise appearance by Taylor Swift. The bit involved Emmys host Mariska Hargitay, in character as Detective Olivia Benson, rallying her team to try to figure out if Taylor Swift would be in attendance at this year’s ceremony. After going down a rabbit hole of references to this year’s nominees, a familiar-looking “rookie,” accompanied by her cat, helps Benson and Ice-T crack the case.
Of course, this being Taylor Swift, there’s almost certainly an Easter egg buried in the sketch waiting for Swifties to uncover.
