Travis Kelce breaks down why MSG was perfect venue for ‘magical’ Taylor Swift wedding

Travis Kelce is going back to July.

The athlete reflected on his and Taylor Swift’s New York City wedding on Wednesday’s “New Heights” episode, explaining why Madison Square Garden was the perfect venue for the “magical” nuptials.

“Thank you [to] everyone at MSG that allowed us to do this,” the NFL star, 36, said while chatting with brother and co-host Jason Kelce. “We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions.”

The Kansas City Chiefs player noted, “We needed it to be a private feel. And MSG went above and beyond to give us that.

“I can’t thank everybody enough that showed up, but also that helped put the show on, and it was a very magical, magical night.”

The arena, notably, was transformed into a garden for the July 3 ceremony, one month after Page Six broke the news of the wedding location.

The tight end said Wednesday that his one regret is wishing the star-studded event — which was “so much fun” — “could’ve lasted even longer than it did [because] it felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye.”

He recalled, “They kicked us out. Well, once the drinks stopped being served, everyone just starts to, you know, mosey out.”

Travis told listeners, “The night was a night we’ll never forget. Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, you know, from the vows to just seeing everyone to how much fun we had throughout the entire evening.”

He specifically shouted out Adam Sandler for being the “f–king best person” and getting ordained in New York to officiate the wedding in his “Sandman style.”

Jason, 38, agreed, saying, “Right before the wedding that I realized, ‘Oh my god, he’s gonna crush this because … obviously, he’s an entertainer and he’s hilarious, but there’s a sweetness in everything Adam does, like, all of his movies. There’s a degree of it that I think really resonates with officiating a wedding.”

He went on to share “the thing [he] really liked about” the wedding’s “structure,” saying, “There wasn’t, like, the sitdown formal stuff. There wasn’t, like, a bunch of the speeches. It was just time to party and have fun.”

Additionally, Jason remembered, “I saw Brad Pitt hugging Conan O’Brien. I see Paul McCartney, and then all of a sudden I see f–king Mrs. Clarke. And I’m like, ‘What in the world?!’”

The groom, who pointed out he is “over a month out” from tying the knot, has enjoyed “hearing … everybody’s stories of the night.”

The “Catching Kelce” alum initially broke his silence on the “crazy” wedding at his team’s training camp in July.

“It was a fun offseason, man,” Travis said at the time before diving into the “best night of [his] life.”

He raved, “I appreciate everyone who came out and celebrated and had fun with us. That’s about all I really got from that night. It was a crazy night. It was full of a lot of celebration.”

Travis subsequently quipped it was time to get back to “football, baby.”

Swift has yet to publicly speak out about walking down the aisle — nor has she addressed her and Travis’ dog, Wendy, a Samoyed who was photographed in July.

Travis, however, posed with the canine for a Tommy Hilfiger shoot this week and broke his silence on the pet during Wednesday’s podcast.

“Little ‘ol Wendy’s a little over a year old now,” he said. “We’ve had her for quite a while. Trying to keep it under wraps.”

Page Six, notably, reported in July that the couple got their pooch “many months ago” and are “very happy” with it.
